History and Background:

RiNo, short for River North Arts District, has undergone a remarkable transformation from an industrial area to a vibrant and artistic neighborhood. Its evolution has made it a thriving hub for creatives and entrepreneurs. This is one of Denver’s newest neighborhoods, and is a new favorite.

Demographics:

RiNo attracts a diverse community of artists, young professionals, and urban enthusiasts. Its dynamic atmosphere and thriving arts scene create a sense of excitement and inspiration.

Transportation and Accessibility:

RiNo benefits from easy access to major highways and is well-served by public transportation options. The neighborhood's bike-friendly infrastructure and proximity to downtown Denver make commuting a breeze.

Local Amenities:

RiNo is a haven for art lovers, with countless galleries, street murals, and public art installations scattered throughout the neighborhood. It is also home to craft breweries, hip restaurants, and trendy coffee shops that cater to the diverse tastes of residents and visitors alike.

Dining and Nightlife:

RiNo's culinary scene is a melting pot of innovative flavors and trendy eateries. From farm-to-table restaurants to food trucks and hidden speakeasies, the neighborhood offers a vibrant and ever-evolving dining and nightlife experience. Some of the best restaurants in RiNo are Barcelona Wine Bar, Work & Class, Los Chingones, and Dio Mio. Some of the best bars in RiNo include Beacon, Federales, Larimer Lounge, and Lustre Pearl.

Community Events and Activities:

RiNo hosts a variety of community events, including art walks, live music performances, and creative workshops. These events foster collaboration, inspire imagination, and bring residents and artists together to celebrate the neighborhood's vibrant culture. Each year, they close down Larimer St and have a huge mural painting festival. You can watch dozens of artist from all over the world come to paint the buildings with custom murals and masterpieces.

Safety and Livability:

RiNo has seen significant revitalization efforts, resulting in improved safety and livability. The community's proactive approach to security and neighborhood watch programs ensures residents feel safe and comfortable. That said, the homelessness issue that Denver is currently facing is prevalent in RiNo.


Housing Options:

The housing stock in RiNo is similar to that of many of Denver’s premier neighborhoods – a huge mix. Some old properties build in the 1800s, some completely new properties. Some single-family homes, some modern rowhome style housing. There are some really great options for everyone. The median home price in the neighborhood is about $640k as of April 2023.
